  • High Specifications and Luxury Apartments

We have been supplying tiles into a development in Holland Park, London (although not all or as many as we would like, but they were for key areas in the show aparment)- The Halcyon, is a prestigeous hotel to apartment conversion. The exclusive project has been created by Tusk Developments Ltd, 'These apartments, including the bathrooms, are all about creating an experience and transforming people to a different living' - a concept taken by Tusk. The rooms are stunning, and the thought and concept of this designer London Development earnt them a place in the top three of Londons most Luxurious developments in The Times. Although out of reach for the majority of us, these kind of developments do exist, and can be inspiring to all with an interest of interior design.

  • Black and White Floor or Wall Tiles

Bathroom, kitchens, walls or floors, combining black and white creates a striking design contrast in your home! There are all sorts of combinations possible, plain walls, or floors, stripes or chess board effect, as well as varying sizes. At Tileclick we sell both ceramic and porcelain tiles in black and white. As a rule (although with changing technology, products are changing) a ceramic tile will have a more vibrant colour, the whites will be brighter and whiter, with the blacks being more jet black. This is due to the manufacturing processes, when manufacturing the pocelain tiles the procelain is mixed to the colour of the tile, and then fired - this firing process is where the jet black and bright white colour pigments lose a bit of their purity - therefore creating an end product that is slightly off white, and more dark charcoal grey, this is not the case with a ceramic glazed tile. In addition to this, a ceramic tile is pretty much 'ready to go'. But a porcelain tile, in most more »

  • Large Format Bathroom Tiles Growing in Popularity

Larger bathroom tiles are becoming more popular than ever, you only have to walk into any home, restaurant, hotel, leisure center or office too see how versatile tiles are. Ruling out kitchens tiles where smaller sizes are still a favourite, a growing trend in the the bathroom appears to be larger and larger tiles.  This has a lot to do with the manufacturing availability of bigger tiles along with the adhesives to fix them.   Last year the most popular size tiles were 248mm x 298mm, 198mm x 248mm and 300mm x 600mm for wall tiles while for floors 333mm x 333mm, 400mm x 400mm and 300mm x 600mm were the most popular. In more contemporary bathrooms the larger format wall tiles continue to grow in popularity with a noticeable trend for glass tiles (including borders) with strip tiles being fixed in vertical lines rather than the traditionally more popular horizontal lay out.    There's also a strong trend for floral patterns like the Laura Ashley Isadore range which has been very more »

  • Laura Ashley - Milford Kitchen Tiles

The Laura Ashley Range of tiles are very in keeping with the famous Laura Ashley style. While most of the ranges in the Collection are for Bathrooms, the Milford range targets the kitchen. The pretty pastel shades of natural colours can be used as a mixture or on their own, the matt finish and authentic natural stone styling is very sympathetic to many of todays kitchen styles, and one of the most authentic 'country cottage' style kitchen tiles available. There are similar ranges available in the Tileclick kitchen collection, such as the Tibet and more contemporary Modena.

This fact leaves many homeowners in a position whereby they want a new kitchen but replacing everything takes them beyond their budget. But why are kitchens so important?
