This little side table was produced at a time when western influences were starting to appear in furniture in the major cities such as Beijing and Shanghai with the development of foreign concessions. This is most evident in this table with the turned front frames. Otherwise the table has classic Chinese features, including a scroll design on the front feet. The black lacquer is original, now worn in places particular on the top surface to show the elm wood beneath. In stock for delivery within 3-4 weeks. |
